CINEMA COFFEE: Summer Under The Stars Edition WEEK ONE!
NEW! To the breakroom classic film fans, it's tea time for a coffee break. Hi guys 'n dolls, that girl's here again! #TCM's #SummerUnderTheStars kicks off THIS SUNDAY, and I'm back this year to guide you through some must watch recommends. Each week, I'll give you a list of film recommends for everyday of the upcoming week.
Starting this week with Bette Davis, Richard Burton, Kim Novak, Louis Armstrong, Margaret Rutherford, Robert Mitchum and ... Who's on first, What's on second and I Don't Know's on third. But I do know Abbott and Costello is on Saturday.
UGH! ... Show of hands if you've watched your content on REPEAT in takes, edits, cuts. Upload, share, watch and... Did I say Dan Duryea in A SONG IS BORN? What the -- ? So INVESTED was I in "Dana Andrews as "daddy,"" I never looked back. Thoooooough ... invested in Dana Andrews as "daddy" ... I'll wear that crown. And, while guilty. Having BALL OF FIRE ('41) and A SONG IS BORN ('48) (all while trying not to say A STAR IS BORN ('54)) on the brain is inexcusable, but, could you imagine if Dan Duryea, Steve Cochran, Dana Andrews AND Richard Widmark, in their primes, were in a film together? ... 🎶 ... It's magic ... 🎶
