"GOOOODNIGHT EVERYBODY ..."
For a long time, I have always wanted to post at least one of our many shows just "as is." No cuts. No edits. None. Just us from start to finish, the way we were on set. Take ... after take ... after take ... after ... take. Dennis, I'm looking at you ... and Henry ... and Mason ... and Rachael ... and Pike ... and -- yeah ... nevermind. Along the way in our over 2 year run, I had gotten close to posting some of our shows in an uncut manner, but not quite. Trimming here and there, cutting out some of the outtake moments, retakes, stumbles and blocks to save for the "blooper" reels after the show or just leaving the rest, as said in the profession, "left on the cutting room floor." But never just ... just. With the events that have lead me to this point ... well, there was one final show that I never got a chance to edit. Always doing the ground work with the photo edits first, which takes A LOT of time, I was able to do the pictures from our last show whenever I could, and was able to show them to my Mom, who ALWAYS was the stamp of approval on ALL shows, be it the garments, shots, snacks during filming and yes, my photo edits. I'd always call out, "Oh critic!" and she knew that meant her. I never posted any show or any of our still shots/posters/wallpapers without showing them to her first ... and last. Never. And if ever you wanted to glimpse into just how close, humorous, harmonious, or the chemistry I had with my Mom and Dad or vice-versa them with myself and them with us on the show, it is them that we are talking to "off camera." The same way the cast interacts between ourselves on set, between takes, and off script, is the same way it was with my Mom and Dad. Everyday. Unconditional. Undeniable. Unity. Having said all that, I post these last remaining photos, which Mom was able to see, and highly approved. The accompanying Show (watch below) that goes with these photos however had and has been left untouched. And for so many reasons ... I want to keep it that way. Hope you enjoy. And from Betty Grey along with the "A Day in the Life Of ..." family, we say a final "GOOOODNIGHT EVERYBODY! ... Ring-A-Ding Ding." #ForMyMom
